Ancient Prophecy - Days of Doom

This is a very interesting band, hailing from Germany. It's kind of hard to define their music, cause there is more than one style to be found here! But if I had to choose a style I would call it symphonic goth metal. But it does not judge Ancient Prophecy's music very well. On their demo, Days of doom, we really get some interesting stuff provided. Huge variaty in the songs, from the dark "Pain" (which musch remind me of of some Tinnitus stuff) to the more symphonic, yet melodic, piece of art found in days of doom. They are also very talented musicians and their guitairst can for sure shred.

There are a number of masterpieces here and I have just heard that a new CD is on the way, cannot wait to hear that one. Specially if they managae to get a better production, which is lacking here, they truely could be the band for the future.

The only major dissapointment is though in their first track, which is a waaaay to looong instrumental track, instrumentals could be good but it is a challenge to make them not boring, and sadly Ancient Prophecy did not manage to avoid that. But the second instrumental is an astonishing performance of the classical Alla Turcani, labels, listen to that and realize that these guys have enough talent to make mozart himself proud!

Go for it guys!
